SculptraAesthetic is the latest injectable remedy for shallow to deep contour deficiencies and other facial wrinkles.  Sculptra works in a continuing manner in order to replace the collagen lost through the process of aging.  The loss of collagen in the face results in lines, wrinkles and folds.  Sometimes called a "liquid face lift," Sculptra Aesthetic is an injectable made from poly-l-lactic acid that replaces lost volume by stimulating new collagen production.

The treatment is most commonly used on deep folds between the nose and mouth called "smile lines", on the wrinkled lines framing the mouth called "marionette lines", sunken cheeks, sunken eyelids or "tear troughs".

Sculptra is not a quick fix. It requires up to four injection sessions that must be spaced out about three to four weeks apart. The smoothing effect usually lasts up to two years, although results vary depending upon the initial severity of the facial wrinkles and the desired effect.
